Hypnosis, or trance, is very natural and ordinary in many ways. We go in and out of trance many times a day when we are concentrating on something like watching television, walking, running, or driving on a regular route…we do it all the time.
A state of deep relaxation is encouraged using guided relaxation where the mind can relax, allowing it to then focus, with enhanced capacity, and respond to thoughts and suggestions that might be useful. Many clients describe it as feeling like a nice relaxing massage!
We can’t control your mind! You will still be in control, and you can decide whether suggestions are useful or not: our brains will not accept or allow us to do anything that goes against our own values and will.
